Environment Management

Request a new environment

Important considerations:

  • The environments will be managed once the contract with the customer is signed; in case you do not have the signed document, please refer to you client manager.

  • When requesting the registration you must specify if the environment will use the eva Billing ID (found in Brazil), or will use a separate one.

  • In case of asking for a Billing ID with Google Europe, the creation time will be between 3 and 4 working days. Only once the ID is ready, the Cloud team will create the environment, so you should consider this timing in your schedule.

  • If you need to manage a Billing ID with Google Europe, you will need the following data:

    - Project Name:

    - Project Description:

    - Is it an Asset? (YES/NO):

    - Client:

    - Project code to which the transfer will be made:

    - Project Manager:

    - Users who will have access (short user): email addresses must be associated to an active Google G Suite account. You can do it from this link https://accounts.google.com

    - Contacts, enter as many as necessary (in addition, always include those entered in the table):

After entering, you will be taken to the main screen, where you will find the various input possibilities; there you will select Request:

In which you will select:

To enter the request you must complete the fields Proyect code (without this code we cannot deliver the environment), Summary, Cloud Region (in which it was agreed to raise the environment, (you can see it in the same quote where it says "Region"), email and description.

In Description, you must include:

  • URLs name required: regarding the environment URL by default we use the following nomenclature to generate the URLs for the Production, Development and QA environments, respectively:

    • environment.eva.bot

    • environment-dev.eva.bot

    • environment-qa.eva.bot

We recommend only replacing "environment" with the alias of your choice.

The Cloud team will generate the environment types (Production, Development or QA), based on what is indicated in the accepted quotation (which you must attach to the requirement); these will be generated with the alias you indicate.

  • If you have additional infrastructure, which has been agreed in the contract, please give as much detail as possible ex: VPN connection, Machine Learning, Billing ID in Europe, etc.

  • Private kubernet cluster: Fixed outbound IP

  • Specify whether or not VPN connection is required, if so please give the customer's IP.

  • Name and email address of the person who will be the administrator of the environment, so that the Cloud team can create the initial access account and sendit to the email informed.

  • Billing ID:

    • If you already have a Billing ID, you must enter its code in the description field. If not, we will do the management and inform you when it is ready.

  • Some important considerations in the creation of the environment.

  • Accepted quotation (to be attached to the request)

In the Attachment box, it is essential to attach the quote agreed and approved with Santiago Santa Maria Morales.

After completing the fields Priority, Impact, Country, URL, CUSTOMER and Environment, just select "Create".

For security reasons, no detailed information about the environments created will be sent directly by email.

Shut Down cloud environment

Important considerations:

  • Within the procedure of environment removal, a backup is generated, which lasts 30 days. After that, the copies will be deleted; this should be considered in the case of needing to restore the environment after 30 days.

  • When entering the request, in the "Description" field, it is necessary to indicate the Billing ID in order to be able to make the cancellation request to the corresponding areas (in case a separate Billing ID has been created). If you do not know this information and only know that it is external, you must indicate it.

  • Only once the environment has been removed, the cost will cease to be generated. Charges for the environment are made until the last day they are available.

To enter the request, you must first enter the following URL in your browser and log in with your credentials.

After entering, you will be taken to the main screen, where you will find the various input possibilities; there you will select “Request”.

In which you will select:

To enter the request you must complete the fields: Product Type eva, URL, CUSTOMER, Priority, Impact, Environment, Summary, E-mail and Description.

In the Description field it is strictly necessary:

  • Name of the environment

  • Evidence in case of on premise disconnection

  • Indicate whether or not to request the generation of a buckup

  • Indicate if you have a separate Billing ID or not

  • Indicate the Billing ID code if know

After completing the field Country, just select "To create".

Cloud team

In the event that the information contained in the request is complete, manage the shut down and backup to the email kC.O3.FinOps@nttdata.com, to ensure that the charges are not continued.

When the environment has been created, an email will arrive from welcoming to eva cloud and a link to the same ticket created, in which all the detailed information of the environments will be entered.
